I almost titled this “Going All In”. Jonah Goldberg publishes what we’ve all been thinking for quite some time. Bipartisanship is for losers.
When your side is out of power, half a loaf is more appetizing than nothing. When in power, the thought of hogging the whole loaf for yourself instead of sharing is seductive.
Nowhere is this more clear than in the healthcare takeover. What’s the solution? Again, what we’ve all been thinking. Go ahead Dems, go all in.
Sure, I’d rather see this health-care proposal die stillborn (and that’s still quite possible). But if it passes, the upside is that Americans will finally be given a stark philosophical choice on a fundamental issue.
I just pray the opposition has the stones to go all in when they are next in power. Read what Goldberg has to say.
