And from the FOX website tonight, the shooter was a convert to Islam… he’s not even old enough to have been more than a juvy punk on 9-11-01.

“A police report based on an interview with the suspect says Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, 23, told police he observed two soldiers in uniform, drove up to the recruiting center and started shooting.”

You called that one Fred. Now, let’s see if anyone gets all condemny about Islam the way some have about Christians this last 24 hours. Hey, the administration and Congress are all hot on “hate crime” legislation right now… I wonder if the soldiers were white guys?

My wife and I at dinner were discussing how all of a sudden these are happening. Look for pressure on gun rights and talk radio at the very least.

Not for me, my Son has done recruiter work, he’s a SGT in the La. Army Natl Guard and is a full time Deputy on his local Sheriffs Dept. This hit close to home for me. The son is away for 3 weeks of summer camp, 3 weeks this time, as they get ready to redeploy to Iraq early next year. When her gets back he has 2 weeks at home then back for 2 more weeks of NCO school… Thank God he gets out before the deployment, he’s been once, but since there is no stop loss, he’s getting out about the time they deploy…

Just for the record, I am thinking this will not be an isolated incident, I would not be at all surprised to see any number of copy-cat shooters…
