Senator Mike Crapo was quoted in an article on Michelle Malkin’s site this morning.  I wish it was for taking a principled stand against one of Obama’s more questionable nominees, but that must be my personal version of wishing for a pony, because instead of a principled stand against “Honest Mistake” Geithner we get this

“I’m not sure he comes from where I come from, but he’s the president’s nominee,” said Senator Mike Crapo, Republican of Idaho.

Ok then, thanks for that Mr Crapo.  “He’s the President’s nominee, so in he goes.  And I’m not sure I agree with socialism but it’s the President’s plan so I’ll vote for it.”  Or how about  “It’s what the President wants, which we don’t necessarily want in Idaho, but in the interest of bipartisanship, blah blah blah…”  And when it comes time to vote on Holder next week, does that mean we’ll see a repeat performance?  If “bend over and get along” is bullet point one of the new marching orders for the GOP, I had expected at least one of Idaho’s Senators would buck the trend.  Not going to happen, eh?

*sigh*

Oh yeah, Crap-o and Wide Stance.

I’m so proud of my states best and brightest.

Crap-o was one of my few remaining hopes for a good conservative stance after Simpson and Minnick sold us out on the SCHIP votes in the House I know we can expect no relief from either of them. I am still waiting to see what Risch will do when push comes to shove. I am rapidly feeling the people of Idaho can now go back in time and begin to feel the same experience of taxation without representation our founding fathers faced under King George III. Time to fire up those torches, sharpen those pitch forks, heat the oil, and pluck some feathers.
