Here in Idaho half of our Washington crew is new this year, a new Senator and a new Representative (one of those supposedly more conservative Democrats, Lord help us). For my public service post of the week, of interest to my Idaho readers, here are the website contact pages for our U.S. Senators and Representatives you ought to bookmark now. And don’t forget them, USE them. Letters, emails, phonecalls. They can’t represent you if you don’t tell them what you want.

Maybe the first set of letters and emails ought to be expressing concern about Mr Obama’s pick of Holder for Attorney General? Those hearings take place next week. And scuttlebutt has it that a new and “improved” AWB could be on the agenda as soon as this month. Get to writing. I’m sure you have strongly held beliefs these gentlemen need to know about (or your own guys if you’re not here in Idaho). If you believe in effecting change by working in the system, this weekend is a perfect time to get going again.
