The Winter Match for the Gun Blog Rifle League is up. After the election and all, this month’s match should be called the “Cold Day In Hell” Match… AK and SKS type rifles at 50 yards outdoors in the winter. For me, that means the desert, and after the 8 inches or so of snow we’ve had lately, it might be awhile till I get out there again.
The smallbore match will be at 25 yards, so I’ll be able to get that indoors. I might try to get my wife to the range to shoot that one with me. Hmmm…I wonder if we could get a wife category for this match?
In honor of the winter shooting conditions there will be a photo contest for pics of frozen riflemen. Alright then. AKs at 50 yards it is.
