For this morning’s pithy quote, do we take a serious free market conservative quote?

The United States government in effect decreed credit a human right rather than a privilege judiciously granted by one independent contractor to another.

Or do we take the snarky, tar-feathers-rail-some assembly required approach?

If the entire global economy is so vulnerable that only the stalwart action of Barney Frank stands between it and ten years of soup kitchens, can it, in fact, be saved?

Head over to the Corner and read Mark Steyn.  You decide.

You can’t go wrong with a Steyn quote…serious or snarky-they both work.
Wow! have I had an education this last week. I thought the bailout was just another band-aid, but I began to get the feeling I was being herded. I had to stay up all night reading blogs and articles to get a handle on what was really happening. Thank God for the internet…I’ve not seen a single newscast that explained the government takeover of our economy. We dodged a bullet. If we don’t get those socialist morons out of office, we’re going to have to dodge more.

…and did Sarkozy really say that? I guess a French conservative looks a lot like an American liberal.

This is a prime example of how truly lightweight and biased most of the everyday media really is. One of the tv stations here in town spends more time on fluff than they do on even local news, to say nothing of national issues. But boy, can they carry water for donkeys…

They think we’re stupid, and it’s their job to keep us that way.
