Somehow I’m going to have to get to the range this week and shoot the new ePostal match that was posted over at The Sentinal, the blog of the Virginia Citizens Defense League. The VCDL has put together what looks to be a great match this month, which involves four targets with a heavy emphasis on defensive pistol skills. It looks challenging, and I can’t wait to shoot it. Have to fill the range bag with a wide assortment of tools and see how I can do on this one with different guns. And it’ll give me an opportunity to practice a better pistol grip.
Don’t forget, there’s also another couple weeks left to get out to the desert (or where ever your rifle range happens to be) and shoot the Gun Blog Rifle League’s Summer Match. There is a class for centerfire and a class for rimfire rifles too, with different targets and distances for each. I’ve shot it once, but intend to go out again. Hmmm, I’ll have to do all this before next week… quail season starts next week and my shooting time after that will be, er, aimed at little topknots instead of paper circles.
