Spent the week in Yellowstone Park, allowing the wonder of the place to remind us that there is much more to life than politics, the news, and yes, even gunblogging.  No cell phone.  No newspaper.  No internet.  My wife and I have been going to the park since we were married, and I’ve been going since well before that.  It never ceases to awe me, and I see new things every time.  This trip, my Sweetie spotted some wolves, and even though they were quite aways off, we enjoyed watching them.  The bison this trip seem to have taken over the park, and the elk were very shy.  The camping was wonderful, as it always is.  And the sound of an owl or the call of a distant bull elk in the middle of the night is all it takes to bring me to a relaxed place I have a hard time finding here in town.  And the very best part is spending an uninterrupted 5 days alone with the person I love most in this world.

It was a short week, but for now it was enough.  I’ll try to get caught up tomorrow, and maybe even post.
