I’m watching the cable news channels while I eat my lunch, in the middle of a seriously busy day mowing, picking veggies and fruit, canning peaches, handloading some .308 GameKings for deer season, and trying to get done before the first BSU game this afternoon…
I’m cracking up here watching the lefties (including those posers on FOX) trying to downplay the importance of the VP spot. “It’s largely ceremonial”, “the VP doesn’t really DO anything”, “she adds nothing to the ticket”, blah blah blah.

They’ve spent the last 8 years trying to tell everyone that Dick Cheney was the evil mastermind behind the Bush administation. Sarah Palin must really have them worried.
I get a real chortle going every time I hear one of them bring up the “inexperienced” argument.

Quick, can you name the female governor of Alaska who has used her veto more times than Barack Uhbama has voted “present” ?
They still haven’t figured out how to explain to us all why their woman candidate (who lost) was so much more important that the Republican woman candidate is now, but they are certainly trying. And I have this mental image of Hillary with a little devil on one shoulder saying “there’s a black man stealing your show” while on the other shoulder is a little haloed figure saying “there’s a white girl stealing your show… and she’s a REPUBLICAN! ”

I have really enjoyed watching the liberals fall back on Neanderthal sexist talking points trying to talk down this accomplished woman myself. I have been heavy on the chores today too, took care of the yard/garden, sighted in the scope on my AR-15 out in the desert, cleaned my weapon, washed the X-Terra, hosed down the front deck after last weeks wind/dust storm, and managed to pay attention to the granddaughter most of the day while her mom was at work. Yep! I am spanked and am surfing my favorite sites before I call it a night. Enjoy the game at BSU it sounds like you worked pretty hard too.

Almost as much fun as watching the libs fussing over Mrs Palin, is watching some of the GOP kool-aid drinkers struggling with her libertarian streak. The old guard/country clubbers just got dissed by McCain again. This time it works in our favor so it’s humorous to watch. I’m sure he’ll poke us a time or two before November as well… after all, he’s the maverick. But today it’s pretty interesting.
Yeah, hard work yesterday. We’re trying to get ready for a little vacation, so I’ve crammed a week’s worth of chores into one weekend. Today will be church, reloading, and gathering the camping gear together.
