The smiley little girl on my morning news just told me that John McCain’s evil attack ads against Barack Don’t Dis Me Bro Obama are working! They’re neck and neck now, and the Enlightened One has lost ground this past week.
No. Obama has only himself and an overactive fawning media to blame. It’s Obama Fatigue, Obama Overload, Obama Tedium, and Obama Flip-Flop that has cost the Golden boy some points. Everyone is sick of hearing about him. The rock star world tour was overkill. Hope and Change? You mean like “I hope I can change my position here with no one noticing”? The more he’s been in front of everyone’s face, the more folks realize this guy is not qualified to be President.
And seriously, even the most die-hard progressives have to be totalling up all the programs and promises he’s announcing, and realizing that most of it isn’t going to happen because if it did the country would go down the economic toilet as it lurched away from a constitutional form of government into a socialist/fascist form. Nationalize the healthcare, energy, banking, education, and transportation sectors, and dramatically grow the size of government is the message BO and the Dems have been peddling. The prospect of reinstating the Fairness Doctrine, a new “assault weapons ban, and some sort of mandatory national service/volunteer program do not look like “the land of the free and the home of the brave” to most Americans.
John McCain wishes it was his ads, but the Big O is just a little overexposed right now.
