Speaking of ePostal matches, Sebastian at Snowflakes in Hell is floating the idea of a gun blog rifle league. He’s got a poll going to gauge interest, so if getting involved in a rifle league interests you, head on over and add your voice. I’d say, judging from the results so far, there are many more who seem interested in the rifle shoots than actually shoot in the handgun matches, so this could turn out to be another great community building/skill building idea. You DID say you needed another reason to go shooting, didn’t you?

Not to be a we blanket or anything, but many people will SAY they’re interested, will do the first one and maybe the second, and then won’t be able to find the time.
When I first started shooting Mr. Completely’s e-postal matches it was the rifle matches that I did…what rifle matches you say?
Exactly.
They just kind of petered out.
Of course doing them quarterly instead of monthly may help keep it fresh so we’ll see.
I’ll play whenever I can and i sincerely hope that it works and gets good participation. Time will tell.

I wasn’t spending any blog time a couple years ago, so I don’t remember Mr Completely’s rifle matches. Perhaps other folks are “new” like me? My online computer interests over the years waxed and waned… I started with a one line 300 baud one user at a time cpm based bbs. Go awhile, quit. Start again, go a couple years, quit. Been like that since the early 80’s. Hopefully Sebastian will catch a few more “new-old guys” and it’ll be a success, for awhile? I’ve noticed the participation on the handgun ePostals is down this year though.
