What started as a fairly straightforward list of tasks two days ago got all tangled up, and the day that started so well unravelled as it progressed.  My prayer is that it is just one of those humbling kinda days… the only other answer is creeping senility, and I don’t much care for the implications of that.  But  the day finally stopped, and not a minute to soon.

We had an inch of snow on the ground when we woke up the other day.  Tomorrow and Sunday the weather-guesser is predicting 70 degrees.  Climate change is good, and not a minute too soon.

And it seems like there hasn’t been a gun show in town in a very long time (whining… it was in January I think).  But, not a minute too soon, we have a good one tomorrow and Sunday.  This is one of those Spring shows that can go either way… if the weather is really good, not as many folks show up, and the sellers don’t have as good a weekend.  If the weather was bad, cold and raining, everybody would go, and the sellers wouldn’t have to work so hard on their prices.  That’s the theory anyway, as related to me by a shop owner awhile back.

I’ll be looking to pick up some .308 brass, which has been but a dream in all the shops I’ve checked lately.  Maybe some AK Chow, too.  After all, the desert is dry enough to get out to now, and it’s always fun to shoot that thing.  I only have one gun on my BAG Day list though (Buy a Gun Day, April 15th).  I’ll be looking for a nice S & W Model 19 to shoot.  Lately I’ve really been enjoying the couple revolvers I have now, but I don’t own a Smith.  Perhaps, if I find one with a proper price tag, I’ll correct that oversight tomorrow… and not a minute too soon, I’d say.
