Our Idaho State Attorney General notified the city of Moscow this week that it cannot establish or enforce a city-wide gun ban.  The Moscow Mayor, Nancy Chaney, had tried to make a complete ban on any kind of guns in public within the city limits, after a shooting in May that left 4 dead and 3 others wounded.  Idaho is an open carry state, as well as having an excellent concealed carry law.  It is also a civilized state, and there are actually laws that already make it illegal to shoot human beings, so no doubt the shooter in this case wouldn’t have been much inconvenienced by an additional law or two supposedly keeping him from bringing his guns to town.  And no doubt the AG’s office made mention of the fact that, regardless the name of her town, Chaney’s citizens DO fall under the protection of the U.S. Constitution, which, at last check still had that pesky 2nd A  attached to it.  Details…

… to go bikin’ with my honey.  And then we stopped by the garden and picked cantaloupes, beans, grapes, tomatoes, basil, pears, two kinds of apples, corn, pumpkins, and some “we’re not done yet” raspberries.  Too bad it’s inside the city limits though, ’cause there are more quail in that acre than you’ve ever seen!   They’d be pretty tasty along side all that other stuff… sigh!
