It must be too darn hot where all these folks live. How else to explain this outbreak of.. of.. well, you decide what to call it. “Lack of discernment” just doesn’t seem to fully cover it.
The Evangelical Lutheran Church is trying to decide just how much pressure to put on Israel
..The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), which has almost five million members in the US, took a step toward a partial boycott of Israeli goods at its 2007 Churchwide Assembly in Chicago last week.
On Saturday, the assembly, the church’s top legislative authority, passed a resolution calling to work toward a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and urging investment in the Palestinian Authority.
A boycott. Now that’s gonna change the world, isn’t it. Speaking of ‘out of touch, out of his mind’, this Dutch Catholic Bishop reminds me of the priests and nuns that embraced Eastern mysticism 20 years ago
..Tiny Muskens, an outgoing bishop who is retiring in a few weeks from the southern diocese of Breda, said God doesn’t care what he is called.
“Allah is a very beautiful word for God. Shouldn’t we all say that from now on we will name God Allah? … What does God care what we call him? It is our problem,” Muskens told Dutch television.
Of course, CAIR thinks it’s a fine idea. Here comes Ibrahim and his camel. Isn’t it cute when they try to slip their noses into the tent?
..Ibrahim Hooper, a spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Washington, D.C.-based Islamic civil liberties and advocacy group, backs the idea as a way to help interfaith understanding.
“It reinforces the fact that Muslims, Christians and Jews all worship the same God,” Hooper told FOXNews.com. “I don’t think the name is as important as the belief in God and following God’s moral principles. I think that’s true for all faiths.”
Did he just say “I don’t think the name is important”? Ibrahim Hooper, do you believe ‘there is no god but ALLAH’? Who are you trying to kid with this ‘name isn’t important’ BS? Anyone who has watched you and your organization knows better. Sorry. “Allah” is an old moon god, and despite what CAIR says, it is NOT the same God that Christians know. The devil is a liar, and the father of lies, and this idea smells like smoke.

..JERUSALEM — Palestinian negotiators drafting an agreement behind the scenes with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s office have made clear they will not accept any final peace deal with Israel unless the Jewish state forfeits the Temple Mount, Judaism’s holiest site, WND has learned.
According to a report in Israel’s Yediot Aharonot daily yesterday, Olmert is willing to discuss joint Israeli-Palestinian control over the Temple Mount complex. The report didn’t state the positions of the Palestinian side on the issue.
Giving up the Temple Mount? Yup, that sounds peaceful to me. Hamas, Hezbollah, al Qaeda, Iran, Iraq, Syria, the Saudis… they aren’t ultimately interested in controlling the Temple Mount, but in eradicating the Jews.
And last night, as I was driving across town to a family get together, I got tired of the evening political talk radio, so I flipped over to the Christian radio station. I didn’t catch the man’s name, but when he boldly pronounced that the Catholic Church was the greatest threat to Western civilization and society today, “even more so than Islam”, I just about drove off the the road. If that radio wasn’t screwed into the dashboard it would have been out the window and into the ditch. I’m sorry, despite the theological differences I have with the Catholic Church, until they confirm what that idiot Dutch Bishop said as truth, I gotta go with Islam The Religion of Peace being a bit more worrisome. Some of the crap coming out of the mouths of so called “Christian teachers” is appalling.
The Lord said that the Truth shall set us free. But if you don’t know the Word, you don’t know the Truth.
