The results of Mr Completely’s ePostal contest for July, hosted by the Conservative UAW Guy, are now posted. And, yes, I WAS LATE! Boy howdy, what a tough crowd… ;-) And man, can they shoot!
That was a tough shoot too… very humbling. With iron sights (on a Glock?), ok, open sights, you can’t even see most of those little circles… I found myself just guessing where the holes should go. But check out the scores some of them got with optical sights! Mr Completely’s target is a thing of beauty.
But I learned a few things about my shooting, and my practicing. I tend to practice at “home defense” distances, and work on consistently hitting a larger target area. Trying to hit little tiny spots for score was good, and it made me understand a few things I need to do differently when I’m shooting. And I also learned not to say silly things like “I’ll get to the range one more time and shoot a little better, then I’ll turn my targets in.”
