With the support of the President and some of the big guns on both sides of the aisle, they couldn't pass an amnesty bill that most of them wanted, because THE PEOPLE didn't want it. It tells me that the people aren't happy with EITHER party right now. It's gonna make for some interesting politics for the next year or so. I don’t think they’ve given Bush a free ride on anything.
