Skiing, hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, shooting, mountain biking, outdoor photography, 4-wheeling, Lewis and Clark and Oregon Trail history… there are so many reasons folks come to Idaho. Whitewater and river running is another draw that brings ‘em in from all over the country. My brother and his lady were here yesterday for an enjoyable afternoon visit before flying back to Seattle. They’ve been in Idaho for the past seven days on a 100 mile rafting trip on the Salmon River between Stanley and Salmon. It sounded like such a great time, I just had to go looking on the net for more information.
There are a number of different possibilities and companies to choose from, and trips ranging from half day floats to a week or more in the wilderness. The range of prices is almost as large. Here is the rafting company they chose. This company seems to put on a pretty deluxe adventure, and they sure impressed my brother. He said they had a great promo DVD they got when they were deciding who to go with, and that made the difference. It looks good to me! I might have to get a cpoy for myself. Here’s a little piece of it

I was driving by the Red Robin on Eagle Road by Fairview in Meridian this morning and saw the banner “Classic Car Show”. So I bothered John the manager with a quick phone call to find out more.
