Cathy and I were talking about getting the .22’s out and heading out into the desert to plink cans one of these days.  She hasn’t shot in years and I was thinking it might be a good idea to get her going again.  Someday I’d like to see her comfortable enough to go to the range with me.

I stumbled onto this video today… guy took his wife shooting and let her try out the muzzleloader.

I’m glad Cathy doesn’t read this blog!

Did you see this story?  A 1957 Plymouth Belvedere buried in a time capsule 50 years ago was unearthed yesterday, to much fanfare.  When the car was entombed it was brand new, and that bright shiney gold color Plymouth had back then.  The idea was much better than the execution however

TULSA, Okla. - A concrete vault encasing a 1957 Plymouth Belvedere buried a half-century ago may have been built to withstand a nuclear attack, but it couldn’t beat back the onslaught of moisture.

At a ceremony yesterday complete with a couple of drum rolls, crews removed a multilayered protective wrapping caked with red mud, revealing a vintage vehicle that was covered in rust and wouldn’t crank.

This is a shame

It’s a serious thing, but let’s step back a minute and look at how funny the whole thing is… the Washington Times reports

President Bush yesterday told Hispanics to step into the middle of the immigration debate and make sure senators who have been bombarded with calls from opponents also hear from those who support the bill.

Here you have a president with a dismal 30-something-percent approval rating rubbing elbows with a group — Congress — that has a more-dismal  27 percent approval rating being led by a guy with a horrendous 19 percent approval rating. It doesn’t get more comedic than that.

And at Red State Patriot I find this
