Alphecca has an article on the Castle Doctrine in Tennessee.  This type of legislation continues to spread throughout the country, and the NRA has a piece here on it, written in 2006.  Another good summary of it can be found here.

Idaho is a great state for hunting and shooting sports of all kind, and the gun laws in this state are also quite favorable for gun ownership and concealed carry, as well as for self defense.  In an article last year about the town of Greenleaf’s “gun in every home” law, the Idaho Tribune noted this fact

As a state, Idaho has some of the least-restrictive firearms laws in the country. And Michelle has a related article, this time about someone who isn’t waiting for the politicians.

In a sane world, the lawmakers in Washington sworn to uphold the law would do something about this. Instead, we’ve got everyone from the president on down abandoning their duties.

Every day, I get e-mail from readers asking “What can I do?”

Answer: Don’t wait for Washington.

Follow the example of Heather Steffek, who took action in her own community after an illegal alien drunk driver whom the feds had failed to deport killed her parents.

This isn’t over yet.
